At the moment, I have a few projects going on. I normally prefer to finish one project at a time because by doing so, I feel like I'm a lot more productive and can achieve more in a shorter time.
However, I hurt myself while knitting the Robinson Wrap Cardigan and wasn't able to knit for a week, so I somehow lost motivation for this project. But the good thing is that I don't have much left; there is just one sleeve and the double-knit edge missing. After that, this project will be finished.
After finishing the first sleeve of the cardigan, I knitted myself the Williams hat. I wanted to knit a smaller project in between that I could finish in a short amount of time.
We had two or three days where it was really hot here in my homeland, so I decided to start my first summer knit. I am knitting it together with a friend, and we chose the Big Chain Top from the designer Hinterm Stein. There were a few stitches in there that gave me a real headache, like pick up and purl (PUP) or pick up and knit (PUK). It took me a few tries to get that right, but in the end, I made it. The only downside is that the short rows are relatively wonky, so I am hoping that after blocking, everything will smooth out.

I also came across this beautiful test knit, the Fluffy Daisy Cardigan from the designer TheKnitStitch. It got colder again, and we've had a lot of rainy days, so I thought this cardigan would be the perfect summer layering piece over a top or dress. The thing is, the weather is like int April; it rains for about 45 minutes, then the sun comes out for about an hour, followed by more rain. When the sun is out, it's immediately extremely hot, and when it's raining and there's a cold wind, you need something to layer.

You know that I'm a big fan of embroidery, and this cardigan has everything: a beautiful stitch pattern, fluffy wool, and stunning flower embroidery. I didn't even think twice and signed up for the test knit. I also purchased the wool before I even got accepted because I knew that I wanted to knit this cardigan anyway. I am still thinking about whether I should add some buttons or not! I will decide on that at the last minute.

My overall plan is to finish this cardigan by next weekend. It's knitted with 8.00mm needles, so switching projects in between isn't possible. The two other projects are knitted with 4.00mm needles, and switching to smaller needles feels really awkward.

Next month, all of my son's exams will start, and I plan to go by train for the four writing exams. My goal is to finish the Big Chain Top during those rides.
I will definitely keep you updated on my knitting progress. I wish you a great day!
Until then, happy knitting!
