A Tough Month, But Hope on the Horizon
Hello everyone,
I hope you're all having a good start to the week. Unfortunately, this month hasn't been my favorite. Tomorrow, I have an MRI appointment because my left knee has been bothering me. I suspect it’s related to old injuries, a bicycle accident when I was 14 and a work accident a few years later.
When I was 14, I was crossing the street on a protected path when a car suddenly hit me. Though I was thrown from my bike and slid about 10 meters, I miraculously only suffered bruises on my left leg. A few years later, at work, about 200 kg of soil fell on my left leg. While I recovered well from both incidents, my knee occasionally flares up, especially after physical activity.

Recently, I noticed swelling and a strange bump filled with liquid on the left side of my knee. Because of that, I went to the hospital today, but they couldn’t find anything on the X-ray. Thankfully, they scheduled me for an MRI appointment tomorrow afternoon, much sooner than I expected.
When Injuries Impact Crafting
On top of that, I injured my left pointer finger by accidentally hitting it against a wall. It was seriously bruised, and I couldn’t move it for a week. Even after that, the fingertip remained blue. During my recovery, I couldn’t knit my cardigan, so I decided to channel my creativity into writing a pattern for Lacy Charms socks.

Sharing My First Pattern with You
I finished writing the pattern yesterday, but I’d like someone to review it for clarity before sharing it for free on my blog. If anyone is interested in reviewing the pattern, please let me know in the comments or via email! I’m so thankful to everyone who reads my blog and accompanies me on my crafting journey, which is why I want to offer these patterns for free. Since this is my first pattern, I’ve decided to share it without a formal test knit. I hope you’ll enjoy it and share your feedback with me!

Progress on the Cardigan and Summer Plans
On a lighter note, I’m still working on my cardigan and have almost finished the first sleeve. Though it’s taking longer than usual, I’m determined to complete it. With the weather warming up, I’m eager to start some summer knitting and perhaps make another crochet bag.
Staying Creative During Tough Times
Have you ever had to take a break from crafting due to an injury? How did you stay creative during that time? For me, writing the sock pattern was a wonderful way to stay engaged with my passion, even when physical limitations made knitting difficult.
I hope your month has been better than mine, and thank you all so much for reading my post. Your support means everything to me as I navigate these challenges and continue my crafting journey.
Until then, happy knitting!
