A Birthday Reflection: Time Flies Faster Than We Realize
Two days ago, we were celebrating our son's 17th birthday. It just got me thinking about how fast time flies. I still remember it as if it was yesterday, holding that baby boy in my arms, looking at me with big eyes and gripping his little hands. Hearing him say his first words and witnessing his first steps. Time is so precious; enjoy every moment. In one moment, you are holding your baby's little hand, and in the next, they are grown up and don't need our hand anymore.

Parenting an Autistic Son: Finding Balance and Trust
As a parent to an autistic son who sees the world differently, there's always a little concern. Yet, I've learned to step back, allowing him the space he needs to forge his own path. He knows we're here, to support him whenever he needs us.

He wished for a chocolate cake, so I baked him one, and it was delicious. The cake was a simple chocolate sponge cake filled with apricot jam and chocolate cream. I added a few almonds to the dough; it was really tasty.

Completing Projects and Welcoming Spring
I completed my Forest of Arda test knit yesterday, and it turned out beautifully. However, with the warm weather already upon us, I doubt I'll have the chance to wear it this winter. Spring appears to have arrived early this year, with flowers blooming and the sun shining warmly. While I still need a jacket for now, I suspect it won't be necessary for much longer.

I've decided to knit myself a cardigan for this spring. I've never made one for myself before, but I believe it's time to do that now. Additionally, I'm contemplating the next topic for our Color Chronicles, considering exploring catching floats and the ladder back jacquard technique.
Embrace the Journey Ahead
As I reflect on the joy of celebrating milestones, the warmth of early spring, and the satisfaction of completing projects, I'm reminded of the beauty in life's transitions. As we welcome the changing seasons and embrace new beginnings, may we continue to cherish every moment and find joy in the journey ahead.
“Until then, happy knitting!”
