Hello Summer - and Goodbye for Now!
Hello everyone! Today, I'm excited to share one of my summer knitting adventures with you all. As the temperatures start to drop down again and summer comes to an end, I wanted to share my summer knits with you. I embarked on a test knit project that turned out to be an absolute blast – a pink cropped tank top that was perfect for those sunny and hot days we had!

Choosing the Perfect Yarn
For this project, I chose a lovely cotton-blend yarn from Lana Grossa. I used the same yarn in bright for the Ginkgo Biloba Top, but this time in a soft, pink shade. It was important to pick something lightweight and breathable for a summer garment, and Linea Pura Cotton Wool fit the bill perfectly.

The Knitting Process: Simple, Fun, and Relaxing
As a test knitter, I had the unique opportunity to work with a pattern that was still in development. It was exciting to be part of the process, knowing my feedback would help shape the final Minimalist Tank pattern. The funny thing is that I first thought I wasn't selected by Lacey for the test knit because I didn't receive any email, but it turned out that my husband had deleted the email by accident. He thought it would be some advertisement.
The construction was straightforward, worked from top-down. I particularly enjoyed the subtle shaping that gave the tank top its cropped silhouette. It was fascinating to see how simple increases and decreases could create such a flattering fit. The designer provided clear instructions, and I found myself breezing through the rows.
The Minimalist Tank is knitted in stockinette stitch, which makes this tank really easy to knit. You don't have to think too much into the knitting process and can enjoy some podcasts, books, or favorite TV shows while knitting it. I found myself saying "just one more row" more times than I care to admit!

The Fit and Finish
As the pieces came together, I could hardly contain my excitement. The moment I tried on the finished tank top, I knew it was a winner. The cropped length hit just right, perfect for the high-waisted wrap skirt I recently sewed myself or pairing with high-waisted shorts. The pink color was even more vibrant when worn, adding a playful pop to my summer outfits.

Creating Joy with Your Hands
This pink cropped tank top has quickly become a staple in my summer wardrobe. It's versatile, comfortable, and brings a smile to my face every time I wear it. The project reminded me why I love knitting – the joy of creating something beautiful with your own hands is truly unmatched.
Trust me, it's a fun knit that yields fantastic results. Whether you're lounging by the pool, heading to a beach party, or just enjoying a casual day out, this tank top is sure to be a hit.
Until then, happy knitting!
