From Exams to Yarn
April 24, 2024Hello Spring
Originally published on March 21, 2024
Now that spring has officially arrived, I wanted to welcome it with the 'Hello Spring' square. When I think of spring, my mind dances with images of blooming flowers, flying butterflies, and the caress of the first warm sun rays on my skin. So, this time, I decided to capture these delights by adorning the square with delicate flowers.
If you want to embroider flowers onto it, I've put together a video demonstrating every stitch needed for this square: the Lazy Daisy stitch, the Stem stitch, and the French knot. Feel free to watch it for guidance and inspiration as you create your own 'Hello Spring' square. You can find the video at the end of this post.
You may want to read my blog post with tips and tricks on how to embroider on knit fabric.
I decided to share all patterns for free on my blog. With these versatile patterns, you can create not only a beautiful blanket, but also stylish dishcloths or other crochet creations.
I think this would make lovely Christmas gifts!
I've created both a chart and a written pattern. When using the chart, remember that odd rows (wrong side) read from left to right, and even rows (right side) read from right to left.
Feel free to reach out anytime if you have any questions or need assistance. I'm always eager to help fellow crafters enthusiasts on their creative journeys.
Happy crafting!
